I raved about this ruggedly feminine Veruca Jacket last year. It was perfect, so when the new Mackage Burgundy Two Piece Leather Veruca Jacket came out this fall, I was relieved that the only thing they changed was the color.
You still get the same buttery soft textured leather, the distinctive zipper details in front, pockets, sleeves at flattering asymmetrical angles, and the detachable wool blend vest and warm shearling lining with stand collar. The shearling will be black instead of cream. (I guess they were afraid of ring-around-the-collar appearing after frequent use).
Still the best leather jacket for another season and worth every penny. Whether you call it an investment or a splurge, it will easily pay for itself when you wear it repeatedly year after year.
